Key Commitments: Ocean Youth Radio is a radio service intended to serve Young People in Torbay . Each day Ocean Youth will broadcast a mixture of original pre-recorded and live content developed by our young producers music and chat including quizzes, competitions, facts and opinions about topical issues and live performances of local musicians. The Licensed Service shall have the characteristics of a Community Digital Sound Programme Service as set out in the 2019 Order and, in so doing, shall achieve the following objectives: •the facilitation of discussion and the expression of opinion, •the provision (whether by means of programmes included in the service or otherwise) of education or training to individuals not employed by the person providing the service, and •the better understanding of the particular community and the strengthening of links within it. Members of the target community shall contribute to the operation and management of the service. The service shall have mechanisms in place to ensure it is accountable to its target community in the specific area or locality. June 2023
